Gouri is a project manager and communications professional with over nine years of experience in international education and women’s empowerment. She is currently an associate program management consultant for the Global Center for Gender Equality at Stanford University, where she provides program management assistance to the Center in its support of the gender integration initiative at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Most recently, Gouri worked with Room to Read, an international education-focused organization. In her role, she managed interactive opportunities for stakeholders to see Room to Read's work in program countries and managed communications and resources for the chapter network. Gouri provided on-ground support for high-profile international visits in India, Tanzania, and Vietnam, including a visit for former First Lady, Michelle Obama. Gouri additionally worked in microfinancing and educational opportunities for women and girls in low-income communities in India and Nepal, and served as a Program Officer at the American Bar Association's Rule of Law Initiative. Gouri holds an M.A. in International Affairs from the Pennsylvania State University, as well as a B.A. in International Relations and a B.S. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Colorado at Boulder. |
